Svartar strendur - Black Beaches

****

I hijacked this beautiful dress from a friend of mine because I was going to this fancy dinner thing last Saturday night and I wanted to wear something dramatic - and this dress is dramatic. I fell in love with it and and got my friend's permission to put it on my blog because a dress like this deserves to be photographed. I love everything about this dress, the lace, the length (I looove long skirts and dresses) and the way it swirls when I'm tearing it up on the dance floor. I will be turning it back crying.

The photo shoot went ok but since the sun was so bright, a lot of the pictures turned out to be useless because my "pretty face" was more of a "squinty face" and that is not the look to be desired. So focus on the dress people! Besides it was freezing. I'm a polar bear from the north, but man, nothing is as cold as a cold day in Reykjavík. My finger turned blue and my mouth was frozen shut and now, many hours later, I'm still shivering inside. Next time I will show you a wool jumper and furry boots because it doesn't make any sense to be hanging around the Icelandic beach wearing a lace dress in late October!
